Can I apply to vacancies not closely related to my competition?

I am on the reserve list of a specialist competition but every day new vacancies not related to my competition will show up on my EPSO profile page. Why is that? My competition is at AST level, does this mean that I see all the AST vacancies available or is there some kind of filter? Should I apply to some of those vacancies even though they are not closely related to my competition? (for example, applying for a role in statistics although my competition was not statistics)

Hello everyone!

I am new to the EPSO world and I would like to prepare myself for the next AD5 generalist preselection exam. As this exams differs from the spanish ones I would like to ask you all if you have some good tips on how to prepare the best possible this exams in order to pass it. Like hours per day, things we have to take in consideration before start or during the preparation, mistakes to avoid, how long the process takes.. Any thoughts will be welcome :)

Hey everyone,

 

so when I was on holiday 3 years ago I was drunk and had a little alteration with a police officer. Nobody was harmed but I was sentenced to 7 months on probabtion for resisiting officer and apparently "trying" to attack one-  again noone was harmed and I was as drunk as it gets.

I went to a an Ivy league top school in the US (Yale University) and read Economics with a top 3.8/4 GPA and worked in the Central bank for 1 year.

My question is the following: 

Recruitment offer withdrawn - someone with experience?

Hello,

I would like to know if anybody here once had the case that they got a written job offer, but then it was withdrawn?

I am on a reserve list only valid for 2 institutions and for a very specific profile. A few weeks ago I had an interview and received via email the job offer. I was asked to confirm my starting date and the insitution also confirmed. As I had a written offer, confirmation of starting date, the right institution wanted to recruit me and for the right profile, I resigned from my current job.

I am taking part in the internal competition, and they have asked for an oral briefing (20' to prepare, 8' to present, 5' Q&A).

Anyone has some idea what oral briefing entails, or is different from a standard presentation of a topic?

Hi there, 

I just want to know if there is anyone here who also passed the CBT for this competition AUDIT 2019  I did and i feel very lucky really and proud for my efforts, but i think my mark isnt that great, so I depend on others. 

Can you give me your feedback?

By the way, it was my first exam in EPSO so i am proud of myself anyway!! 

Also i will try for AD5 Administrator

Hello everyone,

I have spotted this expression of interest call for Cabinet staff - policy officers and members of cabinets. With the new EC coming into place soon, this is quite interesting.

We can apply by using the EU CV online system - but do you have experience having used this system and what are the next steps if selected? It seems to me that the post is an AD one for EoI call.
