The European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) never sleeps - several new competitions will be announced in the near future and Online EU Training points you in the right direction.

Below, we collected all upcoming EPSO / EU competitions. Lost in the system?

1. Are you a lawyer and have good second and / or third language proficiency?
Lawyer-linguist competitions will soon be announced in several languages:

EPSO/AD/192/10 (AD7) - Danish
EPSO/AD/193/10 (AD7) - German
EPSO/AD/194/10 (AD7) - English
EPSO/AD/195/10 (AD7) - Lithuanian
EPSO/AD/196/10 (AD7) - Dutch
EPSO/AD/197/10 (AD7) - Romanian

The registration and application period will be between 15 September - 14 October 2010.

2. Do you feel ready to lead a Unit (a small group of people) in the European Institutions?
Several Head of Unit positions will be announced soon in various fields:

EPSO/AD/190/10 (AD9), EPSO/AD/191/10 (AD12):
Translation (open for EU12 candidates from the new member states)

EPSO/AD/198/10 (AD9), EPSO/AD/199/10 (AD12):
European Public Administration, Law, Economics (open for Romanian citizens)

The registration and application period will be between 9 September - 21 October 2010.

3. Are you a scientist wishing to work in a multinational community of like-minded people?
The EU's Joint Research Centre (JRC) will announce several positions in exciting scientifc fields:

COM/AD/1-16/10 (AD6, AD7):
 - Chemistry, Biology and Health Sciense
 - Physics
 - Structural Mechanics
 - Spatial Science
 - Environmental Science
 - Energy Science
 - Communication and Information Technology

The registration and application period will be between 30 September - 4 November 2010.

4. Are you a specialist of your field looking for a European perspective?
EPSO will organise competitions in several areas for specialists:

 - Lawyers (experts in Member State national law) - Spanish, English, Dutch, French
 - Documentalists / Archivists (all EU)
 - Nuclear Inspectors (all EU)
 - Audioviual / Web Design Experts (all EU)
 - Structural and Cohesion Fund Managers (all EU)
 - Customs / Tax experts (all EU)
 - Language editors (Greek, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch)
 - Proofreaders (Maltese, Lithuanian)

Not sure what the requirements are? After successfully submitting a CV and progressing to the second stage, you will be asked to attend an Assessment Centre. This is a one-day event including a detailed case study, an interview, a group exercise, as well as verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning tests.
