One of the 7 competencies that are measured and evaluated in EU competition candidates via the Assessment Centre's various exercises such as the Oral presentation, the Structured Interview or the Group exercise.
Resilience refers to the 'ability to cope under pressure' and 'maintain an effective performance under heavy workload'. It can also refer to the ability to handle 'organisational or administrative stress'.
The most common exams in which this competency is tested is the oral presentation and the structured interview. The most important aspect of resilience in the structured interview is to demonstrate a specific event when stress management or the efficient handling of a frustration can be proven via a specific, unexpected event instead of talking about a prolonged period of heavy workload.
