"Once on the reserve list, candidates (or as they are called at this stage, "laureates") are "flagged" by the EU institutions, meaning that their profile listed in the "E-laureates" database can be assigned different statuses, such as any institution can recruit them, they are reserved for a specific institution etc. Each flag has a specific colour and meaning to it.
