We are happy to announce that we are introducing a major improvement to our verbal reasoning test question database starting from this week: detailed explanations for each answer statement!
We categorize each statement as:
- patently true: this will be the correct answer, and we give a detailed explanation as to why it is correct
- patently false: these statements may be disguised as seemingly correct, but we explain in detail why they are false
- cannot be deduced or disproved: these statements are the hardest to catch in that they might be corect, but we in fact cannot prove this using the information in the text
It is important to note that the change will be made gradually, so you will still encounter many tests where we give the correct answer, but not the explanation.
We added almost 200 new verbal reasoning tests to the database (compeltely new tests, not just explanations for existing tests!) this week covering new topics such as the economy, culture, history, medical science and others, and we will continue refreshing our database in the coming weeks.
In the current project, we are planning to introduce 300 new tests with explanations in English, with more languages following in early 2013.
Update: You can see the new explanations for yourself in our updated demos!
