EPSO announced 133 EU translator positions and 110 EU interpreter positions in this summer's linguist cycle. Let's see the details.
Translator Competitions (133 spots)
In this year's translator competitions, EPSO is looking for translators for the various institutions in the following languages:
- Estonian (35 spots)
- Irish (38 spots)
- Latvian (41 spots)
- Portuguese (19 spots)
You can select various language combinations and there is a new development this year: you will only take verbal reasoning in your selected first language - in your second and third languages, you will take a special language comprehension test - we will publish more details as soon as we have them!

Interpreter Competitions (110 spots)
This year, interpreter positions are available in two grades (seniority levels), AD5 and AD7, and in various languags and options:
Languages available are:
- Danish (10 AD5 + 10 AD7)
- English (25 AD7)
- German (10 AD5 + 35 AD7)
- Slovak (10 AD5 + 10 AD7)
In the interpreter competitions, you will need to take a numerical and an abstract reasoning test and 3 verbal reasoning tests, in all the languages you have selected.
Interesting tidbits are:
- in Danish competitions, none of the selected languages can be Swedish
- you can apply if one of your languages in Croatian
- a non-EU language, Russian, is also among the languages that ca be selected as source language
